February Book Club

Hi All -

I'm not going to be at book club next week. I've been working out in a boot camp and Wednesday is a scheduled work out day. Have fun and looking forward to next month.

Stunned!!!

Truly stunned by the ending of this book. I realize now that I knew nothing of Frank Lloyd Wright's life going into this book, let alone his mistress Mameh. I hope you are all enjoying this book, right when you're ready to put it down a surprise is in store.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE...

Loving Frank, it's so scandalous. I can't wait for the next book club discussion. I am not finished with the book yet however I can't seem to put it down. I hope you all are having the same experience.

Thank you for the tip that we shouldn't google the book, however, now that I know that I can't wait to google the book when I'm done.

Loving Frank Tip

Hey guys! Just a note that two people (who have loved the book) have told me "Don't Google the book!" or "Don't Wikipedia the book!" in the last two days, so I thought I'd pass along.

Hi, ladies. We had a very nice meeting last week to discuss Never Let Me Go. Consensus - we actually liked it! So, if you didn't get around to reading it, I highly recommend it. There are several copies floating around the group available for borrowing.

Given the upcoming hectic holiday season, our next meeting will be held in mid-January to discuss Loving Frank, by Nancy Horan. It is historical fiction about Frank Llyod Wright's longtime affair with a woman named Mamah Cheney. It should be interesting to compare what we know of Frank Lloyd Wright versus how he is portrayed in the novel. So, pick it up on Amazon, put it on your holiday wish list, or go buy it at Park Road Books.
